The Center for Turkish Cinema Studies (TSA)

Updated: Apr 19, 2022

The Center for Turkish Cinema Studies (TSA) was established in 2014 by the Foundation for Sciences and Arts’ Center for Turkish Cinema Studies.

TSA.org.tr is an online platform that provides users with the established body of knowledge on Turkish cinema, follows the current trends, and represents cinema using specific criteria. It also incorporates systematic records of films, individuals, books, magazines, interviews, and theses related to cinema and conducts archive database studies pertaining to written, visual, and audio documents.

Thanks to its mobile interface added on November 10th, 2015, users can access information on any film made by the Turkish film industry, the individuals who contributed to those films, books, periodicals, and theses that critique or provide research on Turkish cinema as well as digital copies of some of this content.

In parallel with its work, all material related to TSA’s studies has been collected and is accessible in the TSA Corpus within the BİSAV Library. TSA is a scientific, reliable, comprehensive, and categorized reference guide for research on Turkish cinema.
